I love Faith Purvey’s work.

Faith’s work inspires me to think about nature and all the interesting things artists can do IN it. She will be doing a community art residency in Milwaukee this summer and hopefully we will see her in Racine as well!

  1. I TOTALLY (I usually don’t want to sound like a valley-girl, but I can’t help myself) love this piece! It speaks to the precarious financial times besides poking fun at the way, in which, we experience “place” and nature. Just great.

  2. Kathleen–thanks for your gallery girl comment. Do you do any work like this? Would you have any interest or know anyone locally who does work like this? I would like to organize some installation at the REC on the Root River. Any interest?

I want to know more about who this is and what this is. Are there more floating-in-pool works?
